Environmental/Toxic Tort Paralegal

Join a dynamic and nationally recognized law firm with offices in all 50 states! Our Environmental/Toxic Tort Practice Group is expanding, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Environmental/Toxic Tort Paralegal to join our team in the Chicago office.

With flexible work options available, including both full-time in-office and hybrid schedules, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual ready to take on a high-volume, fast-paced caseload in the mass tort litigation space.

As a key member of our team, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping to manage a large caseload, supporting our attorneys with everything from discovery and trial preparation to client communication and case strategy. What You’ll Do

• Oversee large and complex case management, from document review and production to coordinating discovery responses and trial prep.
• Take ownership of essential tasks such as tracking case developments, drafting discovery responses, trial preparation, ensuring timely and accurate support.
• Assist attorneys in discovery efforts and trial preparation, including the opportunity to potentially attend trials.
• Foster strong client relationships, ensuring regular updates and communication.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 4 years of tort/asbestos litigation experience. Trial support a plus.
• Solid understanding of litigation support and case management systems, with proven ability to handle high-volume caseloads.
• Experience in drafting and responding to discovery, organizing exhibits, and assisting in trial preparation.
• Familiarity with litigation support software such as Relativity or similar platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a clear, concise communicator.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, along with an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate.

The yearly salary range is between $45,000-$90,000. This position is open to all experience levels. The actual salary offered may be above or below the identified range and will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, including the location where the position is filled.
