Overview

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 states, has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant in its Des Moines office. Qualified candidates must have legal assistant experience, preferably in a large law firm setting. There may be flexible options for successful candidates, including hybrid opportunities. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in litigation support, case management, and new matter intake process.
  • Familiarity with the Iowa State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Experience with court eFile; state and federal courts.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and technical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Communicate professionally, productively, and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, and all other professional staff.
  • Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery.
  • Provide general office support, maintain and organize files, scan/copy documents, maintain calendars, prepare expense reports, and coordinate internal/external meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
